Harmful per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are an urgent public health and environmental issue facing communities across the United States. In October 2021, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) published the PFAS Strategic Roadmap—committing to bolder new policies to safeguard public health, protect the environment, and hold polluters accountable. As part of the Roadmap, EPA committed to engage with communities in each EPA Region in order to better understand their lived experiences and challenges in grappling with PFAS contamination. Read more information about EPA’s PFAS efforts.

To help inform EPA’s ongoing work under the Roadmap, EPA plans to facilitate a series of virtual community engagement sessions in 2023 for each of EPA’s ten Regions. EPA also plans to hold a session specifically designed to hear from our Tribal partners. These engagement sessions will provide opportunities for communities to share feedback directly with EPA Regional and PFAS Council leaders to inform the implementation of the actions described in the Roadmap.

Registration is now open for select Regional PFAS Community Engagement Sessions. Use the “Register” button in the top right corner of this webpage to sign up. If you would like to sign up to be notified when registration for your region’s session is announced, use the form below.
